Iron City Beer Named #1 Best Logo Evolution of 2020 by Brand New
Brand New is one of the foremost online publications covering branding design in the world today.
In May they initially spotlighted our work rebranding Iron City Beer. They had some nice things to say:
“Overall, everything here is VERY good, doing a great job of creating a brand where you can feel its 150 years of legacy presented in a contemporary, exciting, and confident way that comes across as authentic and unique to Pittsburgh.”
Today, they released Part 8 of their Year in Review which revealed The Best in Logo Evolutions, Introduction Videos, Busiest Firms, and Headlines.
Iron City wasn’t only highlighted, but it walked away in the number one spot in The Best in Logo Evolutions ahead of brands like Tecate, Waze, Amstel, Trip Adviser, Popeyes, and Fisher-Price.
Other Honors
In Brand New’s Part 9, Iron City Beer clocked in at #4 in “The Best of Packaging.”
Finally in Brand New’s Part 10, Iron City Beer ranked #6 of the “The Best” (of 2020).
“Before writing this review I had never heard of Iron City Beer and after writing this review there was no can of beer I wanted to have the most. This brand received a bold, confident, and comprehensive update that took cues from its legacy but rather than just repeat them, used them to create a new visual language that feels as if it has been like that forever.”
A Stroll Down Memory Lane
In celebration of this big win, here’s a look back at just some of the many highlights of our work with the Iron City crew.
