Why do we have a crush on Arsenal Bowling Lanes? Well for starters, their classic charm is endearing. Lows lights, glistening hardwood floors and fabric adorned walls gives this hangout a twist of modern meets traditional. Their scoring machines are the kind that make us go back to the land of old. While the evident aesthetic appeal draws us in each time, there is also a great modern twist to their weekly theme nights.

Added Note: Arsenal is the most reliable of the Pittsburgh-area bowling lanes in terms of being open. Most other bowling alleys bow out on the weekdays to make room for leagues and other shenanigans.

Their theme nights are just as entertaining as the experience itself. They have evenings with lives bands, karaoke, discounts on food and drinks along with rentals and other fun happenings.

If you are interested in dining or beverages (yes please), Arsenal has a saloon located above the lanes along with a full service bar. Their hours make it convenient to get together after work or class without having to rush. Ordering food is easy and quick. Patrons can go to the bar, order their food and go back to bowling. What happens when the food is ready? A message will appear on your scoring machine alerting you that your delicious meal is ready.

If you’re planning on going on a Friday night, we recommend calling in advance to reserve a lane for the 9:00 pm – midnight unlimited bowling slot. Otherwise, you may have some trouble getting in as they tend to sellout quickly. Yes, they are that cool.
Bring some cash. Renting shoes is cash only and the bar tab minimum is $10 to use a card. They have an ATM, but it’s much easier to arrive with cash on hand.
