Maronda Homes is one of the largest privately held home builders in the United States.
Covering over 11 states (and counting), investing in-house technology has always been a priority.
They made the impressive move to build their own content management system to run the entire business from.
It previously extended to a custom website platform that came with some limitations for active content management.
They tapped us in to synchronize their day-to-day business data, while allowing that data to then be manipulated to their heart’s content.
What resulted was a great collaboration with their marketing, leadership, and development teams. And of course, a robust, highly customizable website fueled by their data.
Leveraging their API endpoint, our first initiate was to build an active integration.
Ever hour on the hour, we port in their Community, Quick Move In, and Floorplan data. What needs changed, gets changed. What doesn’t, stays the same.
We mapped all of those fields to WordPress meta for front-end rendering.
This connection creates turn-key pages that are move-in ready from their arrival.
With the data in place, we added a robust set of customization controls.
This allows marketing to override what they want, where they want.
By importing the data types, it also allowed the opportunity to pull that data into other site locations.
The exhaustive list of functionality includes:
With a comprehensive set of well-organized data, the sky is the limit.
We built a search tool allowing users to search by city, state, community name, buildable plan elevation, or school district.
Every time the API syncs, the data only gets stronger.
We have and can continue to program custom parameters.
Or, if they don’t exist we can add them into WordPress.
For example, they wanted to filter special interest rates by Job Number for quick deliveries.
No problemo.
In an effort to always make the web faster, more secure, and infinitely reliable, we migrated the website onto Headless Hostman.
Headless Hostman is our all-in-one Static WordPress converter and hosting platform.
Static in a nutshell just means the live website is completely separated from the database.
This means it loads faster and is highly reliable during peak and unexpected traffic. Not to mention resilient against DOS and DDOS.
For this site in particular, it allowed us to fully separated the API sync from the live site, only pushing pages dynamically when it completed.
The tech specs can often get missed to the glitz and glam.
But, at the end of the day our design matches our development capabilities, and this site is no different.
In addition to being robust in its functionality, the site delivers delight through UI-focused design.
And we don’t rest on our laurels. We collaborate with the lovely folks in the Maronda marketing department to continue growing the site based on the market and their users.
