RFQ & quote-request flows

Turn your website into a pipeline, not just a brochure. We build smart RFQ and quote-request flows that capture the specs you need up front. Your sales team gets qualified, ready-to-quote leads instead of vague contact-form noise.

Product & Spec-Sheet Libraries

Your buyers came for the details. Give them a searchable, organized product catalog with downloadable spec sheets, drawings, and data sheets. Everything an engineer needs to spec you in, without a single email to your team.

Fast, Technical Performance

A slow site costs you credibility and RFQs before a buyer ever reads a word. We build manufacturing websites engineered for speed with clean code, optimized assets, and strong Core Web Vitals. Load fast, rank better.

Easy-to-Update CMS

Your product lines change. Your website shouldn’t require a developer to keep up. We build on a flexible CMS your team can actually run. Add products, update specs, and post news in minutes, no code required.

Distributor / Rep Locators & Portals

Sell through distributors or reps? We build interactive locators that route buyers to the right partner, plus secure portals for pricing, documents, and orders , so your channel runs smoother and your site does the heavy lifting.

ERP / Catalog / API Integrations

Your website should talk to the systems you already run. We connect your site to your ERP, product catalog, CRM, and custom APIs so inventory, pricing, and product data stay in sync automatically, with no manual double-entry.

You Name It. We'll Build It.

Custom portals, configurators, calculators, dealer dashboards, and more. If you can spec it, we can build it. Our capabilities can spin up entire platforms at will, so your website does exactly what your business needs, not just what a template allows.

Our Process

Our six-step web process turns complex challenges into a clear path from strategy to launch.

01.

Data-Driven Audit

We start with the data. Using our proprietary analytics platform, Phantom Relay, we examine the full picture of your current website, including rankings, traffic patterns, conversion gaps, technical issues, strengths, and opportunities. Every recommendation that follows is grounded in what is actually happening.

02.

Kickoff and Discovery

We bring your core stakeholders together to walk through our findings, align on priorities, challenge assumptions, and shape the strategy as a team.

03.

Design

Design happens in two focused phases. First, we establish the structure through sitemap planning and wireframes. Then we turn that foundation into a polished, pixel-perfect visual experience.

04.

Development

Once the design is approved, we build the experience by hand with clean, thoughtful code. Every interaction is refined and tested across devices, browsers, and screen sizes.

05.

Launch Prep

Before launch, we prepare and pressure-test the details that protect performance. Content, analytics, redirects, forms, integrations, SEO, and technical checks are all reviewed. We also coordinate directly with your IT team on DNS and infrastructure requirements.

06.

Launch

We take the new site live, monitor the rollout in real time, and verify that every critical system is working exactly as intended.

07.

Keep Momentum

Launch is where the next phase begins. We help you build momentum through paid media, organic search, ongoing optimization, and smarter acquisition.

Top Hat has been excellent. We came with a crazy, unorganized set of ideas and the Top Hat team worked quickly to understand our vision and take it to the next level. Their creativity is unlike anything we’ve worked with before, and their design chops are just as impressive. Highly recommended!

I had interviewed several marketing companies to take my business to the next level. After selecting Top Hat I was instantly pleased with their thoroughness and attention to detail to make sure I was getting the utmost exposure in my very competitive market. I'd highly recommend them!

Ben and the Tophat team were fantastic to work with. They built our website quickly, professionally, and made the entire process easy from start to finish. Communication was clear, the final product looks great, and we’re very happy with how everything turned out. Highly recommend.

How much does a website cost?

A custom website from Top Hat starts around $10,000 for a one-page landing site, $20,000 for a small site, $40,000 for medium, and $50,000+ for large builds.

Enterprise stacks start at $25,000 and scale from there.

We price based on page count, complexity, and how much heavy lifting the back end has to do.

Do you offer website financing or phased projects?

You can break a project into phases or milestones if you’re not ready to do everything at once, and we offer interest-free financing across 12 months (or interest-based financing for terms longer than that).

Plenty of great projects don’t start because the budget isn’t sitting in one tidy pile on day one, so we built payment structures that let good work happen on a realistic timeline.

What's included in a website project?

A Top Hat website project includes a data-driven audit, strategy, UX and wireframing, full design, custom development, content and SEO implementation, training, and launch support.

Every project starts with an audit run through our proprietary analytics tool, Phantom Relay, which pulls your analytics and pages into a single fact-based picture: strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.

Those facts become the anchors for every decision afterward, so we’re growing what’s already working instead of accidentally bulldozing rankings you spent years earning.

From there we kick off with your stakeholders, wireframe in black-white-and-grey to lock the sitemap, move into full-fidelity design, then development, then finally into content implementation.

Post-launch you get a 30-day bug-fix window, training, and optional monthly support.

How long does it take to build a website?

Timelines run one month for a one-page landing site, one to three months for a small site, three to six months for medium, and four-plus months for large builds.

The range depends on scope, how fast feedback comes back, and whether content is ready.

What's your website design process?

Our process has been refined over 13 years, and it runs in a deliberate order:

  1. Audit: we analyze your existing site with Phantom Relay, our proprietary analytics tool, to surface fact-based strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
  2. Kickoff: we meet with core stakeholders, share findings, and align on what the site needs to become.
Wireframes — black, white, and grey layouts to establish sitemap and content structure before anyone argues about a button color.
  3. Design: full-fidelity, fully bespoke visual design.
  4. Development: built once designs are approved.
  5. Content & launch: we coordinate content, SEO, and GEO implementation as scoped, then launch.
  6. Support: a 30-day bug-fix window, training, and optional monthly support after you’re live.

The wireframe-first sequence is the part most shops skip. It’s also the part that saves you from expensive surprises later.

Do you build completely custom websites?

Every Top Hat site is designed from scratch and built bespoke. We do not use pre-made template builders.

Once your custom design is approved, we compile it into a custom template system built specifically for your site.

So the design is 100% tailored to you, but it lives in a highly usable manager that lets you spin up new pages and edit existing ones without touching code.

You get the polish of custom and the freedom of a builder without the bloat that comes from forcing a generic theme to do something it was never meant to do.

Are your developers in-house?

We do not offshore or white-label our development.

Every developer is an in-house, W2 employee based in the United States.

When you talk to the people building your site, you’re talking to the people building your site.

Why do you build websites in WordPress?

For most businesses, WordPress, built correctly, is the right tool.

When it’s built right, it’s endlessly customizable, integrates with nearly any system, and is supported by a deep pool of developers, so you’re never locked into one vendor.

The phrase “built correctly” is doing a lot of work in that sentence; most of WordPress’s bad reputation comes from sites duct-taped together with forty plugins.

That said, WordPress isn’t the only answer. We build on other platforms when your needs call for it, and we lean on your technical team to tell us what plays nicely with your existing infrastructure and CRM flow.

What else do you build on?

Name it. We can do it.

Just make sure it’s the right solution for your organization.

Will my website be fast?

Speed, Core Web Vitals, and performance are baked into how we build.

The difference is that we don’t reach for a pre-made template builder, so the code only does what it needs to, where it needs to do it, no inherited bloat.

We’ve also built our own performance tools that satisfy both Google’s PageSpeed scores and the “real,” perceivable speed your visitors actually feel.

If you want to push it further, we offer WordPress-to-Static hosting and CMS-agnostic incremental static hosting for projects where performance and uptime are mission-critical.

It’s key to remember, however, that long-term speed is a habit, not a one-time fix. We’ll recommend ongoing practices (like avoiding heavy plugins, optimizing images before upload) to keep it fast for years, not weeks.

Is SEO included in a website build?

SEO can be included, but it’s a distinct service.

It requires real research, keyword implementation, and schema customization, so it’s added as scope rather than assumed.

Flag that you want SEO during the proposal stage, not as an afterthought the week before launch.

Building search visibility in from the foundation is dramatically more effective (and cheaper) than bolting it on at the end.

Will I be able to edit my own website?

We aim to give every client Content Independence, which is minimal reliance on us for day-to-day changes.

Everything we build is centered in a highly usable template manager where you can drag, drop, reorder, add, remove, and tweak any word or image you see.

Training is included. We’d rather earn your business by being great than by holding your content hostage.

Can you redesign my existing website?

Yes, and our entire process is built around preserving the SEO, content, and rankings you already have.

Before we touch anything, we identify what your site is doing well using fact-based analytics, not opinions. Then we lean into the strengths, fix the weaknesses, and chase the opportunities. A redesign should be an upgrade, not a reset that costs you the equity you spent years building.

Can you improve my website without rebuilding everything?

Sometimes, yes.

If your site is in a strong starting position, we can amplify strengths and fix weaknesses without a full rebuild, and we’ll use our proprietary analytics tool to get a clear picture of what we’re working with first.

A full redesign-and-redevelopment is the longer road, and occasionally the only road when a site is failing on performance, modern security, or structural integrity. But if optimization gets you where you need to go for less, we’ll tell you that.

Can you migrate my website from another platform?

We handle migrations from Squarespace, Wix, Drupal, Joomla, or any other CMS.

Disclaimer: depending on the shape of the existing site, a migration is sometimes better served as a clean overhaul on the new platform rather than dragging old baggage across.

We’ll look at your specific situation and recommend whichever actually serves you, not whichever is easier for us.

Do you integrate websites with CRMs and marketing tools?

Our development team has advanced capabilities, so integrating HubSpot, Salesforce, Mailchimp, GA4, the Meta Pixel, automation platforms, and essentially any CRM or marketing tool into your build, is easy.

Can you support my existing website?

Yes, and we do it often. We regularly take over sites built by other agencies and continue supporting and improving them. You don’t need to have built it with us for us to make it better.

What makes Top Hat different from other web design companies?

We’re design-led, and that’s rarer than it should be.

Most shops are either developers who treat design as decoration, or designers who hand off a flat file and hope a contractor builds it right.

We lead with design because we’re a fully integrated agency: brand strategists, designers, and in-house developers under one roof, building in sequence.

Your site gets designed bespoke first, and then our developers build that exact vision, no compromises, no “well, the template wouldn’t let us.”

After 13 years, that integrated muscle is the difference between a website that merely functions and one that actually moves your business.

Why does "design-led" matter for my website?

Because a website built design-first looks like you, not like a theme, and it performs better for it.

When development drives the process, you get whatever the template allows.

When design drives it, you get a site engineered around your brand, your customers, and your goals, then built to match exactly.

We start with strategy and bespoke design, lock it in wireframes and full-fidelity comps, and only then hand it to our developers. They then build it from the ground up rather than forcing a pre-made builder to fake it.

The result is a site that’s distinct, fast, and unmistakably yours.

Can you handle complex, custom builds not just brochure sites?

We build everything from one-page sites to enterprise stacks on Next, Node, and custom CMS systems.

We’ve also engineered our own products, including Headless Hostman (our WordPress-to-Static platform) and Phantom Relay (our proprietary analytics and audit tool).

We’re an agency that builds its own software, which means when your project needs something genuinely custom (a platform, an integration, a tool that doesn’t exist yet) we don’t flinch.

We’re nimble enough to spin up entire products at will and seasoned enough to do it right.
