Inven has named us to their list of the Top 24 Agencies for Craft Beer Marketing.
Founded in 2013, we carved our niche in beer in 2017 with our award-winning “Work for Beer Campaign.” In it, we asked breweries to pitch us on why we should perform our services for them entirely free of charge in exchange for beer.
Our campaign went viral and landed us Lord Hobo — the (at-the-time) Fastest-Growing Regional Brewery in the U.S. — and our very first craft beer clients.
Since then, we’ve gone on to work with breweries ranging from 500 to 500,000 bbls per year including some of the industry’s most notable players — 3 Floyds, Dragon’s Milk, Reuben’s Brews, and Iron City, to name a few.
We’ve designed over 4,000 unique beers and implemented robust sales and marketing strategies designed to increase sales and interest.

Top Hat founder Ben Butler received his Certified Cicerone® designation — the beer industry’s equivalent of a Sommelier — in 2019 and encourages all members of the team to be extremely well-versed in beer styles and their associated flavors.
To top it all off, Ben also owned a craft brewery in Pittsburgh from 2020 – 2024 called Necromancer Brewing. The brewery was named one of Pittsburgh’s Best Breweries by Hop Culture, City Paper’s People of the Year, and brought in multiple awards including GABF. Through that experience he brings a real-world perspective to the leadership of every project we take.
